"One Faith" set to premiere at Silverspot Cinemas in Cleveland

AKRON, OH - Fans of family drama are in for a treat as the highly-anticipated television series "One Faith" makes its big-screen debut later this month. The Akron-based production company Sloan Productions LLC, in collaboration with Cleveland’s Stimuli Film, will present a special premiere screening of four episodes from the six-episode series at Silverspot Cinemas, Orange Village.

The event will kick off with a red carpet reception at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 10 Park Ave., giving audiences the opportunity to experience the first half of this emotionally charged and compelling series.

"One Faith" follows the lives of Keith Williams, played by actor and rapper Romeo Miller, along with his sisters, Karen and Kim, as well as their extended families and close friends. The series dives deep into the high and low points of the Williams family's lives, portraying the complexities of human relationships and the role of faith in guiding them through difficult times.

“The series exposes the highs and lows of the Williams family as they navigate their respective lives, and some of what they go through isn’t pretty,” shared Diane Rhynes, scriptwriter and president of Sloan Productions. “While you’ll be heartened by the sibling support and unconditional love, you’ll also be jolted by betrayal and confrontation – the stuff that makes up the intricate tapestry of the human experience.”

"One Faith" is loosely based on Rhynes’ stage play When You’ve Been Called, which debuted at the historic E.J. Thomas Hall in Akron in 2012. Much like the play, the series is centered on the fictitious One Faith church, a focal point for the Williams family. For Rhynes, the connection between the story and her personal Christian faith is deeply important.

“My Christian faith is an important part of who I am, and I am unapologetic about that,” Rhynes said. “But as Christians, our lives are not perfect, and I wanted the series to capture the ugly and beautiful parts of life – from fractured relationships to reconciliation and forgiveness – with faith remaining at the center of it all.”

Romeo Miller isn't the only talent drawn to the project. Emerging actress Sheila Leason stars opposite Miller, alongside a cast of over 50 local actors, including Nicole Ward, Crystle Paynther, Vaughn Gene, Brittany Mayti, and Lyindaa Russle. According to Rhynes, it was divine intervention that brought the script into Miller’s hands.

“He felt compelled to be part of the series after reading the script,” Rhynes said, noting that Miller and the other cast members were particularly drawn to the vulnerability of the characters and their stories of overcoming hardships.

Directed by Stimuli Film President Devon V. Collins, and executive produced by Miller, Rhynes, and Collins, "One Faith" is now being shopped to streaming platforms to secure its next phase of distribution.

For fans eager to witness this exciting new series, the red carpet premiere on Sept. 28 is an event not to be missed. Stay tuned for updates as Sloan Productions and Stimuli Film work to bring this powerful story to a wider audience.
