Chicagoland chefs rally to support Maui after wildfires

NORTHBROOK, IL - A group of local chefs in the Chicago area is rallying support for survivors of the recent devastating wildfires in Maui. The initiative is set to take place at Prairie Grass Cafe in Northbrook on August 27, with all proceeds directed to the Hawai'i Community Foundation's Chef Hui Fund.

Led by culinary talents including Sarah Stegner of Prairie Grass Cafe and Ricky Sakoda, former chef of Merriman's in Kapalua, Maui, Randall Sabado of Coopers Hawk, Arshiya Farheen of Verznay and Sebastian White of The Evolved Network, the event aims to not only raise funds but also create awareness about the far-reaching impacts of natural disasters.

Tickets for the event, priced at $150, will contribute entirely to the Hawai'i Community Foundation-Chef Hui Fund, which aids wildfire recovery efforts. Attendees are also encouraged to show appreciation by leaving a cash tip for the staff at Prairie Grass Cafe.

The collaboration between these chefs highlights the power of community and solidarity during times of crisis. By uniting culinary expertise with social responsibility, they are sending a message of support from Chicago to Maui, reminding everyone that compassion knows no geographical bounds.

For reservations, interested parties can contact Prairie Grass Cafe at (847) 205-4433, showcasing the seamless fusion of goodwill and culinary excellence. As the chefs prepare to serve their delectable dishes, they're also serving up a reminder that even across miles, acts of kindness can make a substantial impact.
