Walk for mental health on May 4th
Join NAMI Northwest Suburbs Chicago and lace up your shoes for NAMI Moves, a spirited community event dedicated to raising awareness about mental health. On May 4th, participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to join together at Deer Grove East Forest Preserve in Palatine for a meaningful day of solidarity, hope, and active engagement.
Whether you’re an avid runner, a casual walker, or someone passionate about supporting mental health initiatives, NAMI Moves is a great way to get involved. Participants can choose between a leisurely 1-mile walk for $10 or a more vigorous 5k (3.1 miles) run or walk for $25. The event kicks off with registration at 10:00 am, followed by the start of the 5k at 11:00 am, with the 1-mile walk beginning shortly thereafter.
In addition to running and walking, attendees can deepen their involvement by creating or joining a team, volunteering their time, or donating to support NAMI’s mission. While registration will be available on event day, exclusive free swag is guaranteed only to the first 100 registrants, so signing up early online is encouraged.
Volunteers are still needed and will automatically secure their free swag, a small thank you for their valuable contributions.
Register today and help lift our community’s spirits, celebrate resilience, and promote mental wellness together. For more details and registration, visit https://bit.ly/NAMImoves. Join the movement—every step counts!
